The founders and shareholders Ulrich Knoerzer, Matthias Langer and Daniel Meermann have spinned of the Blatand GmbH at the beginning of 2006 in Freiburg while being employed as research associates by the Hochschule Furtwangen University in the project „Mobile Health Care“ managed by Prof. J. Anton Illik.
Out of the development of so called Wearable Technologies in the field of health and sports a holistic approach derived, which was presented for the first time at CeBIT 2006 as part of the Siemens PSE project „ORYX – Sense Your Body!“.
After several years of development and field trials with several hundred participants the Spurty Online Platform was launched in cooperation with T-Systems Enterprise Service GmbH.
In the meantime the former Blatand GmbH moved to Munich and has changed the company’s name to mobimotion GmbH.
Besides our own idealism we are supported by a network of highly specialist industry and university partners when developing concepts, products and new convergence solutions in the field of sports, lifestyle and fitness.
Usability and added values are the centric characteristics of these products.
Investors from inception are tbg Technologie-Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft mbH and Bayern Kapital GmbH.
